This year’s boxing day dip will take place as usual on Sunny Sands Beach on Thursday 26th December. The event will be covered by local radio.

Registration will take place on the day from 09:30am at the Mariner Pub, 16 The Stade, CT19 6AB. There will be a fancy dress competition judged on the beach at 11:00 am, 30 minutes before the dip.

The dip will take place at 11:30 AM.

There will be commemorative medals for all ‘Dippers’ who raise money for various charities. The Folkestone Lions Club organise the event and passes the funds raised onto the charities nominated by the dippers themselves and other local worthy causes. A range of other prizes will be awarded, including one for the dipper who raises the most money.
