The Met Office have issued a Red Warning & Amber warning for Friday 18th Feb and a Yellow Warning for Saturday 19th Feb 2022.

Storm Eunice is expected to bring strong winds of up to 70 -80 MPH and heavy rain to the Southern region on Friday & Saturday. Some disruption to travel is likely across parts of England and Wales.

The Met Office is warning of spray and/or large waves affecting some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities, and flooding which may close some roads.

Due to the risk to safety, we recommend that people avoid the beach and coastal areas during these two days.

The Met Office also warn to expect damage to buildings and business closures due to flooding, delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges, and possible short term loss of power and other services in the South East region.
