At 11.50am today, Folkestone Harbour called for our assistance to help investigate the welfare of the occupant(s) aboard a yacht that was moored in the harbour. Rescue 1 was launched, and took representatives from HM Coastguard and Kent Police to check on the craft.

On arrival, it was discovered that all was well; the only problems aboard the yacht were a broken radio and a mobile phone with a flat battery. The person was taken to the harbour steps to speak with the Harbour Manager, and no further assistance was needed.
