Despite being out of season, our crew had a busy evening in Folkestone Harbour due to the very bad weather.

Despite being in the shelter of the harbour, two boats and a tender had broken free of their moorings in the very high winds.

First, our crew had to re-position and re-secure two boats to their moorings.

A large piece of timber was spotted drifting into the harbour, causing a hazard to vessels. This was towed out on to the slip way using a 4×4, rope and hard work.

Finally, the crew secured a tender which had broken free from its mooring in the inner harbour.

The good news is that there was no actual damage to any craft from the bad weather and the forecast is set to improve over the next few days.
