New Information About Your Local Beach

Posted on in UpdatesAdd Comment

Starting this year, there have been a few minor changes that you may need to be aware of; from the 1st May to 30th September, there are no dogs allowed on the Sunny Sands beach in Folkestone. Failure to follow the restrictions set by Shepway District Council may land you with a penality fine of £80 upwards.

We also need to make you aware of two other restrictions that we face every year.

Firstly, you are not allowed to launch Jet Skis or other Personal Craft from the Sunny Sands Beach.

Secondly, you are not permitted to go on the harbour arm; there is a locked gate and a clear “No Entry” sign. Members of the public who ignore these signs will be asked by lifeguards to come off of the harbour arm; failure to do so may result on the police being called.

If you need any advice on the local environment, tide times, safety tips or first aid, please feel free to approach any of our lifeguards (they are easily identifiable by their new bright red and yellow uniform).

We have a lot more exciting news to come, so check back soon.
