The 2022 Folkestone Air Display will take place on Sunday 21st August, featuring the Red Arrows, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5, and the Chinook Display Team. The event is free to watch, and the best views can be seen from the top of the Leas and from Folkestone Harbour Arm.
- 12.22pm – Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
- 1.00pm – Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5
- 2.25pm – Chinook Display Team
- 3.15pm – Puma
- 5.00pm – The Red Arrows Display
Food stalls, live music, arts and craft stalls, and a classic car show will all be available on the Leas over the weekend, organised by Folkestone Festivals. Folkestone Rescue will be providing safety cover during the event.
Several road closures will be in place, and some parking bays will be suspended over the weekend.
An offshore exclusion zone will be in place from 11am to 7pm, and marine traffic (including kayakers and paddleboarders) must not enter this area between the specified times. This is because marker buoys for the air display will be positioned within this area, and also to ensure everyone’s safety during the event.
Please note that Folkestone Rescue are not the organisers of this event, and we regret that we are unable to answer any queries about it.
