The TS Pelican at Folkestone Harbour Arm – Saturday 6th July 2019

Posted on in EventsAdd Comment

A truly spectacular event in collaboration with Folkestone and Hythe District Council and Boulogne town council.

The Tall Ships Project uses sailing and competitive sports as a vehicle to encourage cross border linguistic, cultural and team building exchanges. Nearly 50 young people aged 13-15, from across the district and Boulogne will join forces for this once in a lifetime experience.

The TS Pelican, a 150ft vessel whose design is derived from the elite French clippers of the late 19th century, will be docking on the Harbour Arm on Saturday 6th July between 11am and 12noon. The vessel will then remain docked overnight and depart the next day between 2pm and 3pm, with a special, private event taking place on Sunday before the young people depart across the channel.

Please note that Folkestone Rescue are not the organisers of this event, and we regret that we are unable to answer any queries about it.
