The Met Office have issued a Yellow warning for Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th February 2020.

Storm Dennis is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the South East region over the weekend. Some disruption to travel is likely across parts of England and Wales.

The Met Office is warning of spray and/or large waves affecting some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities, and flooding which may close some roads.

Due to the risk to safety, we recommend that people avoid the beach and coastal areas this weekend.

The Met Office also warn to expect damage to buildings and business closures due to flooding, delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges, and possible short term loss of power and other services in the South East region.

Advice on how to stay safe in a storm can be found on the Met Office website.
